A Look Back on What 2016 Meant for your Company
- Thursday, 29 December 2016
2016 has certainly been a unique year for the world. There are a couple of days left in 2016, and it is a great time to take a look back at what it has meant for your company and team members. Here are a few things you should consider when analyzing lessons learned:
Customer Acquisition and Retention
Customers breathe life into every business. What did your customer acquisition and retention rate look like? Did you reach out to them for feedback? Were they mostly satisfied or angry? Customer happiness is the lifeline every company needs. Make sure to take these details into account so that you can build a stronger customer acquisition and retention strategy for 2017.
Team growth and interpersonal relationships
How did your team members get along? Were there strong leaders among your workforce that made a cohesive team possible? Identify these leaders and make sure they are on the same page with your company's KPIs for 2017. Identify weaknesses and issues so that you can address them accordingly. Moreover, don't be afraid of investing in your team. You will certainly get a return.
New technologies
What new technologies has your company adopted? For example, construction software technologies or any other tool that helps with your project. How have they helped you reach company goals? Always be measuring changes. If you don't know how to do that, remember to always set an objective and project dates. Only then will it be easy to measure any changes in technology, resources or any other decisions you make for your company.
Lessons learned as an owner or stakeholder
Finally, look at the big picture and at yourself. What have you learned as a business owner? How has your company made an impact? These may sound as more abstract concepts, but they certainly are very valuable. A year of great work has its wins and lessons learned. Always remember to acknowledge them both.
